Lastly here is a parting shot of the fishing shelter looking out over the marsh grass. Ward Lake is a very beautiful recreational area to spend time either on a picnic or short scenic hikes with family or friends.
The following day the weather was still cooperating so we decided to picnic at Rotary Beach another common gathering place for locals. We hung around just long enough to see the sun dipping just behind the mountain ranges across the Tongass Narrows.
